A lightpath routing reconfiguration algorithm for WDM optical networks

We propose a lightpath routing reconfiguration algorithm minimizing the number of OXCs. We present the exact problem description in integer linear programming formulation and show several examples. From experimental results, we found that a considerable number of OXCs can be saved.
