Photosensitive Yb-doped double-clad fiber for fiber lasers
Photosensitive at 244 nm double-clad Yb-doped germanosilicate fibers have been developed. Fiber lasers based on these fibers exhibited 65% differential efficiency and 100 mW threshold at both 910 and 980 pump wavelengths.
