Zusammenfassung: | Reduced resolution per view and limited viewing zone are the two main issues of autostereoscopic systems based on parallax barrier. Our previous system managed to deal with both of the two issues by using time-division quadruplexing and furthermore replacing the generated 4-view conventional image pattern with 2-view image pattern, where the same image is observed from two of the four viewpoints. However, lack of refresh rate leads to emergence of stripe-shaped noise, which occurs during blinks and horizontal saccades. In this paper, we introduce parallax barrier employing RGB (Red-Green-Blue) slits, where the RGB components of each image pixel are time-division multiplexed as well as the image resolution is. Our experiments with different color combinations show that a tradeoff exists between crosstalk and stripe noise. We also find that the barrier pattern RGBK (Red-Green-Blue-Black) provides the most balanced performance among all the tested combinations. |
