Zusammenfassung:The US government has announced that it will end its unique oversight role over the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), assuming that a multistakeholder model of accountability and transparency can be developed by the Internet community by September 2015. The National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA) that held this responsibility for many years recognizes that this stewardship role should become the responsibility of the global providers and users of the Internet.
