description Common methods and principles of antenna factor measurement are introduced. A comprehensive analysis is performed on electrical mast and background noise which could affect the antenna factor test. Then the corresponding solutions are given to deal with these problems. Considering the solutions and test process, an efficient program which integrated multiple functions like automatic cable loss calibration and automatic saving of data is developed based on LabVIEW, which makes it possible to completely build up an antenna test system. The system can prevent testers' misoperation, and the efficiency and accuracy of the measurement are greatly improved.
