Zusammenfassung: | A prime concern for Wireless Sensor Networks is the energy consumed by nodes, since this has a strong effect on the network lifetime. The widely-used approach is to have good management of the RF link[1][3][4], keeping the total time each node spends transmitting or receiving packets as low as possible. In real deployments though there are hidden energy costs, leaving the node with much less lifetime than predicted. This paper investigates some of these hidden costs and aims to present a method to reduce the energy consumption in iterations, by following specific steps and using feedback from a power consumption curve. We will also present a case study of this method on the Sparrowv3 node running a single-hop network scenario. |
