Zusammenfassung:	This study seeks to evaluate the existing methods available for minimizing the spread of pests and diseases in order to improve the crop surveillance strategies of the Sri Lankan paddy cultivation. And hereby proposes a system which utilizes the power of ICT to carry out the crop surveillance much more efficiently and effectively lead by the intention of upgrading the economical status of the farmers through being preventive than curative in pest and disease catastrophes arriving in future.
