Zusammenfassung:	Design of a simple dual-band GSM 900/1800 microstrip patch antenna with single feeding is presented. The dual resonance was obtained by cutting a narrow slot in the patch near the radiating edge which influenced the patch modal currents. Similar radiation characteristics in both bands were observed. The calculated results were confirmed by measurements on the prototype.
