Generation of stabilized asynchronous pulse trains from a synchronously pumped optical parametric oscillator

Two asynchronous, broadband 3.3-μm pulse trains with a stabilized repetition-rate difference of up to 5 kHz were generated with an optical parametric oscillator. This system is potentially suitable for coherent dual-frequency-comb spectroscopy.
