description Due to the gray change, the directionality and periodicity of texture image is beyond description. In order to solve the problem, this paper proposes a method of Fourier spectrum analysis for periodic texture image measurement. The conversion from spatial domain to frequency domain by Fourier transform is executed and the quantitative description of periodicity and directionality characteristics are realized as well. Experiment results prove the effectiveness of this algorithm.
