Zusammenfassung: | In relay networks, most of the resource allocation algorithms are designed by considering ideal capacity achieving coding schemes which are not feasible in practice. This paper investigates power optimization in relay networks utilizing practical codes. For these codes, successful decoding can not be guaranteed even if the channel capacity is larger than the effective rate. Therefore, a residual error probability remains. For these codes, an ARQ strategy is devised which takes into account the noise correlation between different signals received from the same relay at the destination. The end-to-end SNR is determined for practical codes in conjunction with ARQ. The simulation results show the outage, throughput, and power consumption performances for these two types of codes. |
