Thus, after comparing the existing microgrid protection methods, the ideal structure and parameters of the study microgrid are given. Moreover, this paper presents a new protection strategy, which adaptively selects the different fault detection methods in the grid-connected mode and islanded mode of operation. Finally, the selectivity and reliability of the microgrid protection are improved by utilization of this new protection strategy. |
