description 802.11-based wireless networks are widely used in the access network environment, so research on performance of wireless network has been popular. The multicast and broadcast frames cache strategy of access point (AP) in 802.11-based network are analyzed, and the transmission delay problem is addressed, because power-saving stations in wireless networks affect the network performance. To solve this problem, we propose an improved cache strategy of multicast and broadcast frames to enhance the network performance, and demonstrate the implementation of the new strategy. An improved strategy taking the place of the traditional one is proposed, and is verified by the simulations in a single BSS network environment.
