System architecture for bandwidth-scalable OFDM long-haul transmission
We propose a network architecture supporting variable-bandwidth OFDM channels to enable increased traffic aggregation and maximize spectral efficiency. A new ROADM design enables efficient (de)multiplexing of variable-bandwidth channels.
