description The physical model and three-dimensional finite element model of maxillary dentition are established, based on different patients' dentitions in different situations. They provide some theoretical guidance for orthodontic treatment. Two volunteers (one is male and the other is female) are selected as modeling materials. CT images data of their head are obtained, and the meshed models of maxillary dentitions are acquired and finished using three dimensional reconstruction and Finite-Element mesh division of the Mimics10.1 software, and then the integrated maxillary dentition three-dimensional finite element analysis model is established using Ansys software. Three-dimensional finite element model of maxillary dentition has been established by the assistance of Mimics software. It has simplified the modeling process, reduced the modeling time, and enhanced the authenticity and precision of result analysis obviously. It will provide a sound basis for analysis of maxillary dentition orthodontic treatment.
