Zusammenfassung:This paper introduces a new approach that allows users to fully personalize services by merging the existing Telecommunication and Internet worlds. The telecommunication world has come up with established services such as voice call, messaging, presence, location, content, and conference services. Now with the evolution of the Internet, novel ways of communication such as social networking, content-oriented and messaging services have been introduced. This paper explores the benefits that can be gained for service providers by providing personalized mechanisms that use services of both worlds which are opened up. In pursuit of this purpose, we are proposing a new convergent service concept called Personalization Enabler. The proposed enabler architecture's goal is to provide an environment that facilitates personalization of services namely, by converging assets to provide a unified aggregated view, and providing a choice of communication mechanisms from any worlds for user's content and user's contacts. These benefit service provider as it gives them the convenience of connecting to users and services from both worlds. Service Provider also benefit as it gives them the opportunity to develop and market converged services in less time which will help in increased customer retention and possible new sales avenues. Also, service provider's users can benefit as it gives them ease of use, increased customer security and privacy. It is envisaged that this concept will aid in innovative ways of communication with both worlds.
