Strain field manipulation in ultrafast laser inscribed nonlinear BiB3O6 optical waveguides
Type I phase matching is demonstrated in an ultrafast laser inscribed BiB 3 O 6 optical waveguide. A novel technique was implemented to achieve good spatial overlap of the horizontally and vertically polarized modes in "strain-field" type waveguides.
