New RSOA Devices for Extended Reach and High Capacity Hybrid TDM/WDM -PON Networks

We demonstrate that the use of a high gain reflective semiconductor optical amplifier as remote modulator enables 36 dB optical budget for colourless operation at 2.5 Gbit/s over 45 km single mode fiber.
