Bandwidth efficient precompensation using a single digital-to-analog converter

We introduce a new electronic precompensation scheme based on the use of a single digital-to-analog converter. The proposed method allows for arbitrary amount of chromatic dispersion compensation while minimizing the occupied bandwidth of the transmitted signal.
