Zusammenfassung:System identification is an important signal processing operation. In this paper, we consider the problem of parameter estimation for a finite impulse response (FIR) system driven by chaotic symbolic sequences. We formulate this problem as a non-coherent parameter estimation problem so that the requirement for precise synchronization of input and output of the system can be avoided. However, knowledge about the underlying chaotic dynamics is assumed at the estimator thus forming a semiblind identification scheme. We compare the performance of the new scheme with traditional blind identification schemes and semiblind scheme with chaotic numeric sequences.
