In this paper, the system architecture of digital interface and the communicating- protocol of digital interface in NC system based on the Ethernet technology are made. The protocol was tested by experiment in feasibility. The results show that it meets the communication requirements of real-time, synchronization and reliability. The interface was used in the experimental platform of NC system developed independently based on Ethernet technology.
