description The paper addresses a problem of designing efficient multi-carrier modulation/demodulation scheme appropriate for non-stationary PLC channel characterized by different types of synchronous and asynchronous impulsive noise. In such circumstances an applied transmultiplexer scheme should minimize a spectral leakage of wide-band disturbances to many carriers. In the paper application of circular (periodic) real sine/cosine-modulated Gabor transform with window having high sidelobes' attenuation is proposed. The presented approach is compared against standard OFDM modulator, and its advantages are shown, coming from usage of appropriate time-frequency data tiling within each transmitted frame.
