description Newly output feedback sliding mode control to mismatched uncertain interconnected systems is proposed. The new sliding mode control uses only output variables with a new dynamic output controller. In order to sustain the limited hitting time, there is no estimated state required. We extend this basic output sliding mode control theory from matched uncertain variable structure systems (VSS) to mismatched one. Some useful results are given such that the new output feedback sliding mode controller can apply to the interconnected system design procedure. In the sliding mode, the asymptotical stability of the reduced-order system is also established.
