Zusammenfassung:The authors introduce engineering and technology faculty to the variety of ways in which they can become teachers of writing within their technical courses. A number of national studies have emphasized the importance of good communications skills to engineering graduates. The authors' thesis is that these skills can be introduced or enhanced in stand-alone writing classes, but they need to be incorporated into the fabric of all enginering education before they can truly be learned. They present some possibilities for incorporating more writing into technical classes without adding greatly to the instructors' workload.< >
