Investigation of Electrical Conductivity of KH2PO4 Single Crystals

The effect of gamma-irradiation on electrical dc conductivity of potassium dihydrogen phosphate KH 2 PO 4 (KDP) single crystals widely used in quantum electronics devices is investigated. The measurements of bulk conductivity were realized within 20-100 degC temperature interval. The conductivity in...

description The effect of gamma-irradiation on electrical dc conductivity of potassium dihydrogen phosphate KH 2 PO 4 (KDP) single crystals widely used in quantum electronics devices is investigated. The measurements of bulk conductivity were realized within 20-100 degC temperature interval. The conductivity in the samples of KDP was found to essentially decrease with an increase of gamma-irradiation dose. The temperature dependences of dc conductivity in the crystals were measured, and numerical values of the activation energy for conductivity were calculated. As follows from the data obtained, in the process of gamma-irradiation noticeable changes of the conductivity parameters take place. It is observed that the activation energy increases after gamma-irradiation
