Zusammenfassung:In this paper, two co-channel diversity schemes are proposed to improve the reception quality for the users in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based cellular system with one-cell frequency reuse. In these schemes, the same subchannel in 2 or 3 contiguous cells is assigned simultaneously to one user near the boundaries of these cells. The proposed schemes enhance the desired signal effectively and reduce the co-channel interference simultaneously, hence improving the user's reception quality significantly. The performance of the proposed schemes is evaluated and compared with that of the subchannel diversity (SD) and single frequency diversity (SFD) schemes. Results show that, for the users near the cell boundaries, the proposed schemes improve the reception quality significantly and outperform the SD and SFD schemes remarkably
