43 Gb/s Modulator Driver Integrated Circuit with 6 VppOutput Voltage for Long Haul Transmission Systems with FEC

We present results of a high-speed 43 Gb/s GaAs driver IC for LiNbO 3 and electro absorption modulators with 6 V pp output voltage and 12 dB gain suited for different modulation formats at 40 Gb/s including Forward Error Correction overhead of up to 7 %.
