A new scheme of conical-wedge-shaped fiber endface for high-power laser to single mode fiber coupling

We propose a new scheme of a conical-wedge-shaped fiber endface for high-power laser to single mode fiber coupling. High coupling efficiency of 84% with simple and reproducible fabrication process is demonstrated.
