Zusammenfassung:Results of a cooperation between an induction motor manufacturer and a company involved in partial discharge testing are dealt with in this paper. The steps carried out in order to set up procedures for type and routine tests are reported. Experimental results from tests performed on both complete windings and single coils have been used to customize an identification system for partial discharge source recognition. The application of this tool is also described in this paper
