Noise reduction method for sinusoidal and wideband noise based on ALE and noise reconstruction filter

In this paper, a new noise reduction system for sinusoidal and wideband noise is proposed. We have proposed the cascaded structure of adaptive line enhancer (ALE) and noise reconstruction system (NRS). However, it has the problem that the quality of the enhanced speech signal is degraded. description In this paper, a new noise reduction system for sinusoidal and wideband noise is proposed. We have proposed the cascaded structure of adaptive line enhancer (ALE) and noise reconstruction system (NRS). However, it has the problem that the quality of the enhanced speech signal is degraded. In order to solve this problem, a noise reduction system which is composed of two ALE and a noise reconstruction filter (NRF) is proposed. The two ALE are used to estimate the sinusoidal noise and the speech signal, respectively. In order to improve the quality of the enhanced speech, the NRF is used. We also propose a noise reduction system with feedback circuit to improve the quality of the enhanced speech more. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed system.
