Zusammenfassung:The least sum of squared estimation (LSSE)channel estimation algorithm is applied for determining a channel impulse response from known preamble sequences. Optimum training sequences are designed for different channel responses and training sequence lengths. The effect of channel estimation errors on the performance of some data detectors is also investigated. As a special case some non-maximal length sequences and ternary sequences (with alphabet 0, /spl plusmn/1) are also considered for performance evaluation.
