Zusammenfassung: | Wireless backhaul and fronthaul technologies represents a cost‐optimized solution complementing fibre especially for mobile backhaul for tail and first aggregation level, as well as for enterprise, mission critical and vertical markets. Microwave links are a strategic asset for 5G deployment, while Free Space Optics (FSOs) are an option only for very specific use cases. The ongoing technological evolution to support different mobile network scenarios and requirements is promising, as 5G microwave is projected to reach up to 100 Gbps in future transport capability. |
