Furthermore, the following questions will be answered: Are there similarities or differences in a) the selection of topics, b) explanation of vocabulary and c) vocabulary exercises in the application and in the textbooks? The purpose of the paper is to determine the applicability of the Duolingo application in learning German as a Foreign Language.
