CSCL: a learning and collaboration science?

Our participation in the CSCL conference in June 2024,Footnote1 that took place in Buffalo, USA within the framework of the International Society of the Learning Sciences Annual Meeting (https://2024.isls.org/), led us to reflect on the orientations of CSCL. In these brief editorial notes, we describe two elements of a vision of CSCL research, with a view to stimulating the submission of squibs that further the debate in the research community. Firstly, our concept of collaboration is evolving; secondly, we need a unified language.
