Zusammenfassung:The CdWO4 nanocrystals were synthesised by a simple co-precipitation method. The XRD pattern confirmed the phase purity and the single phase formation of a monoclinic wolframite structure, CdWO4. The average crystallite size of 22 nm was calculated from X-ray line broadening method. The FTIR spectra confirmed the presence of stretching and bending vibrations of metal cations including Cd-O, W-O and Cd-O-W bands in the CdWO4 structure. The morphological features were analysed by TEM and HRTEM. The electrical conductivity of the materials increased with increasing temperature and frequency which showed the semiconducting behaviour of the material.
