description | The file is the junction between the patient and the specialists who will take care of him or her. It contains a case history and its images. Internet and the multimedia development offer a wide range of exchange possibilities. In order to ask for an opinion or to provide online teaching, it is necessary to standardize the medical files presentation form. Iconocerf represents a files presentation form. It guarantees anonymity, it contains clinical information, ACR codes and the images (static or dynamic) with their legends. Iconocerf software was developed on Hypercard . In reader's mode, it allows the consultation of Iconocerf , and in author's mode, it allows the creation of new files. Iconocerf-CD permits access to 3 800 files with 15 000 images which are divided on 3 CDs and sorted by speciality. Iconocerf-web is the version available on Internet. With the HTML format, the access is made through keywords and clinical context. With the Oracle format, additional access mode is possible through the author's name, by speciality, and especially with simple language. Iconocerf-staff is the tool that makes it possible to send messages and to receive expertise on clinical cases under Iconocerf format. Iconocerf-quiz is a self-assessment system on Iconocerf clinical cases. The software analyzes automatically the answers on a clinical case and compares it to the author's diagnosis. Iconocerf-Java will allow a simultaneous access of different specialists to Iconocerf clinical cases, regardless of the operating system.
