Zusammenfassung:This qualitative study aims to analyze the conditioning present in the academic trajectory of a new agent through the quota policy. The research sought to identify the main difficulties and confrontations of this agent in the face of his trajectory in higher education. For that, a structured interview was developed based on the concepts of Bourdieusian theory, namely: habitus, social capital, cultural capital, economic capital, whose data analysis was elaborated based on praxiological knowledge. The testimonies analyzed revealed conflicting relationships and insecurities with the academic universe during the interviewee's journey at the public university, culminating in the withdrawal of the course and later in the option for entering and completing higher education in a private educational institution. It was evidenced that the cultural capital directly influenced the agent's trajectory and his relationship with the university environment, added to the difficulties arising from the economic instability that permeated his academic itinerary. The reflections raised seek to contribute to the debate on the analysis of the quota policy, noting advances and challenges that still exist regarding the greater democratization of Brazilian public universities. O presente estudo de natureza qualitativa tem por objetivo analisar os condicionantes presentes na trajetoria academica de um agente ingressante por meio da politica de cotas (PPI). A pesquisa buscou identificar as principais dificuldades e enfretamentos deste agente perante sua trajetoria no ensino superior. Para tanto foi desenvolvida uma entrevista estruturada tendo como base os conceitos da teoria bourdieusiana, sendo eles: habitus, capital social, capital cultural, capital economico, cuja analise dos dados foi elabora com base no conhecimento praxiologico. Os depoimentos analisados revelaram relacoes conflituosas e insegurancas com o universo academico durante o percurso do entrevistado na universidade publica culminando na desistencia do curso e posteriormente na opcao pelo ingresso e conclusao do ensino superior em uma instituicao privada de ensino. Foi evidenciado que o capital cultural influenciou diretamente a trajetoria do agente e sua relacao com o ambiente universitario, somadas as dificuldades provenientes da instabilidade economica que permeou seu itinerario academico.
