description During pregnancy, the mother's body undergoes a series of physiological changes to meet the needs of fetal growth and provide the placenta with the necessary nutrients to prepare for the birth process and delivery. These changes affect almost all organs and have an important impact on the maternal anesthesia and surgical procedures. Factors such as significant changes in hormone levels, organic changes caused by increased uterus, increased fetal-placental nitrogen source metabolism requirements, and decreased first-placental training resistance have caused unique changes in physiology during pregnancy. Changes in digestion and cardiovascular system during pregnancy directly affect the absorption, distribution and clearance of drugs. Therefore, anesthesia and analgesia for obstetrics and gynecology have their particularities. In particular, obstetric anesthesia and analgesia should not only ensure the safety of mothers and infants, but also have a slight effect on the contraction of uterine smooth muscles, and also minimize the pain of patients Drug selection is more cautious. In this study, the safety and effectiveness of propofol and dexmedetomidine sedation drugs in obstetrics and gynecology surgery were evaluated. It was found that 0.4 to 0.6 small doses of dexmedetomidine combined with propofol for women in obstetric surgery, the amount of propofol can be reduced, the intraoperative body movement response is less, the hemodynamics are stable, and the injection pain and postoperative pain are reduced, and the patient's comfort is high. Key words: Propofol Injection, Dexmedetomidine Given, Obstetrics and Gynecology Surgery, Pharmacological Mechanism.
