Zusammenfassung:In 1988 the NSW police introduced a crime prevention strategy modelled on the New York "Compstat" process - which involves operation and crime review (OCR) panels, where senior police provide local area and regional commanders with information on crime trends and patterns in their area, with a request for the local area offices to devise tactics and strategies to reduce crime - some crime reduction was noted, but the OCR panels were not sustained beyond the Olympics.
