Urbach Rule in MnGa.sub.2Se.sub.4 Single Crystals Upon Optical Absorption

The Urbach rule in MnGa.sub.2Se.sub.4 single crystals is studied. It is found that the long-wavelength absorption tail obeys the Urbach rule at photon energies in the range 2.1-2.2 eV. It is shown that a strong electron-phonon interaction exists in MnGa.sub.2Se.sub.4 single crystals.
