Each statement represents a manner of the adult dealing with the problem, in a continuum, from highly controlling to highly autonomy supportive. 1296 elementary and secondary Brazilian teachers answered the questionnaires. The data were submitted to a confirmatory factor analysis based on a hypothetical model of four factors. The analysis indicated that two out of four indexes fitted well whereas two others came close to fitting the data. In this way, also considering other parameters, we may conclude that the present revised questionnaire is more capable to identify the continuum structure of the four motivational styles. A presente pesquisa teve por objetivo avaliar um questionario revisado sobre estilos motivacionais de professores. O instrumento consiste de oito vinhetas que representam problemas de alunos na escola. Apos cada vinheta seguem-se quatro afirmativas a serem marcadas por um adulto numa escala Likert. Cada afirmativa representa uma maneira de o adulto lidar com o problema, num continuum desde uma forma altamente controladora ate altamente promotora de autonomia. Responderam aos questionarios 1296 professores brasileiros dos ensinos fundamental e medio. Os dados foram submetidos a analise fatorial confirmatoria, com base num modelo hipotetico de quatro fatores. A analise mostrou que dois de quatro indices revelaram ajustamento adequado dos dados, ao lado de outros dois indices que tiveram ajustamento muito proximo. Desta forma, e considerando-se outros parametros, conclui-se que o presente questionario revisado se revela como mais capaz de identificar a estrutura do continuum dos quatro estilos motivacionais.
