Effect of soil compaction resulting from different number of tractor passings and row spacing on potato yield and its tuber quality

The aim of this research was determination of changes direction of height and quality of tuber yields selected potato varieties in conditions of differentiated soil compaction and row spacing at two nitrogen fertilization levels. description The aim of this research was determination of changes direction of height and quality of tuber yields selected potato varieties in conditions of differentiated soil compaction and row spacing at two nitrogen fertilization levels. It was found that wider row spacing increased tuber yield, starch content and average tuber weight. Higher nitrogen fertilization increased the tuber yield, whereas decreased the starch content in the tubers. The higher number of tractor passings decreased tuber yield, especially together with the smallest row spacing
