Zusammenfassung: | Somatic hybrids lines were produced by cell fusion between the Indian eggplant cultivars, DMP (Solarium melongena) and wild Solanum species S. integrtfolium, and between DMP and S. toxicarium. The hybird lines obtained were investigated their resistance against Bacterial-wilt, their growth ratio and productivity when they were used as stocks for grafting. The results of nursery plant test of the fusion lines showed that the some plants were thought to be resistance to the wilt because the withering mortality, infection rate and brown-change of trachea were lower than the ordinal cultivars. However, the field Bacterial-wilt resistance test of the hybrid lines selected by the nursery test indicated that the resistance level of obtained from the fusion plants was not higher than that of the resistant cultivars used as a control. In addition, the productivity and growth rate of the fusion plant between DMP and S. toxicarium were a little bit lover to those of S. Torvum in the cultivation test. |
