Structural analysis of TRG1@ and TRG2@ loci of the ovine immune system
[By isolating sheep genomic clones related to constant genes of T cell receptor gamma chain, we have shown, by FISH on sheep choromosomes, the occurrence of parologous loci TRG1@ and TRG2@ (Massari, 1998). They are separated by at least five chromosome bands on chromosome 4: locus TRG1@ maps in 4q31...

They are separated by at least five chromosome bands on chromosome 4: locus TRG1@ maps in 4q31, in a region homologous with human TRG locus on chromosome 7, while locus TRG2@ maps on 4q15-22 and is characteristic of ruminants. In this work, the whole structure of loci TRG1@ and TRG2@, derived by the analysis of six sheep BAC clones, is reported. TRG2@ has a total length of 90 Kpb and is composed by three clusters (TRG6, TRG2 and TRG4). TRG1 is 150 Kbp long and is composed by TRG5, TRG3 and TRG1 clusters.]
