Zusammenfassung: | Dothistroma needle blight Mycosphaerella pini and its anamorphic stage Dothistroma septospora had been detected for the first time in the territory of the Czech Republic in a consignment of imported plants of Pinus nigra in 1999. In 2000, Dothistroma needle blight was also found on Pinus nigra in an open planting in the village Jedovnice near Brno. Altogether, it was identified on 13 species of pine in the Czech Republic. Pinus nigra and Pinus mugo are the most frequent hosts. Other host species ar as follows: Pinus ponderosa, P. jeffreyi, P. banksiana, P. contorta, P. rotundata, P. leucodermis and P. sylvestris, and very rarely P. aristata, P. rigida, P. heldreichii and P. cembra var. sibirica. These species are not mentioned anywhere as potential hosts of Dothistroma needle blight. As for the species of other genera, Picea pungens, Picea abies and Picea schrenkiana were also found to be attacked. |
