In this short intervention the authors refers to the preventive interventions that took place in the archaeological site ”Old City” from Brăila. Basically, all the field interventions from this area were supervised or preceded by archaeological investigations. Four examples were presented above, and in spite of the small size of the surfaces, in every case a great number of artefacts, in various states of preservations were founded. A general remark was that referring to the state of the field, in almost every case very raked. Because of that stratigrafic observations can be made only in exceptional situation when no previous interventions took place. The archaeological materials are the ones we are accustomed to from previous excavations (pottery with or without enamel of a great number of shapes, trinkets, wearing accessories, utensils, coins), mainly dated in the 17th - 18th century.
