Raport arheologic: Sebeș/comuna: or. Sebeș/județul: Alba/punct: Hale de producție foreze și structuri metalice (2004)

An interdisciplinary research project was carried out in order to issue the archaeological discharge certificate for the industrial area of 'Hale de productie, foreze și structuri metalice', in Sebeș. The first phase consisted of the topographic survey necessary for the archeo-magnetic prospecting units and archaeological research units. After conducting magnetometric investigations, we carried out five stratigraphical surveys on areas measuring five m in length each and covering the entire area to be occupied by buildings. The research, consisting of archaeo-magnetic prospections and surveys, clearly proved the absence of any anthropogenic deposits or isolated complexes. No trace of human intervention of archaeological/ historical interest was found in the entire area. The archaeological situation here completes the data obtained during the research conducted in the neighbouring area for the Austrian Holzindustrie Schweighoffen consortium.
