Private school students represented approximately 10 percent of the total elementary and secondary enrollment in the United States in 2003-2004. The following are appended: (1) Glossary; (2) Technical Notes; (3) Standard Error Tables; and (4) Tables of Estimates and Standard Errors for Kindergarten-Terminal Schools. (Contains 53 tables and 3 footnotes.) [For "Characteristics of Private Schools in the United States: Results from the 2001-2002 Private School Universe Survey," see ED483064.]
