The major components of the guide are: (1) the BCFSP policy manual, which covers the relationship of BCFSP courses to the college curriculum, fees, equipment, use of the field station, publicity, and aspects of program administration; (2) emergency procedures; (3) criteria for assigning field station use, giving biology courses first priority, and a contract for leasing the field station; (4) regulations regarding boat use, including a waiver of liability; (5) a student evaluation form; (6) job descriptions for the BCFSP coordinator and station manager; (7) instructions for BCFSP course registration and information on financial aid; (8) a description of the field station and requirements/suggestions regarding its use; (9) regulations for the use of station vehicles, the electrical system and library at the field station; (10) information and forms for student participants and users of the station; (11) roundtable presentations by six GCC faculty members who have offered courses or institutes through the BCFSP; (12) information on radio communication in Baja California; and (13) a copy of the "BCFSP Newsletter."
