The invention relates to antennas for decimetric waves including at least one vertical array of dipoles (d2, d3, d5-d16) distributed in groups on various levels. The substantially rectangular form of the dipole array of known antennas is abandoned in favour of a form which is narrower in the top part of the array, by virtue of a reduced number of dipoles in the groups of the top part (d2-d3) by comparison with that in the groups of the bottom part (d5-d8; d9-d12; d13-d16); the reflector (Rb) associated with the array has correspondingly a surface of smaller width in its top part than in its bottom part. The performance thereof is only slightly affected and the structure is considerably lighter in weight. Application, in particular, to rotary antennas.
